The Spartans joined 11 other schools to compete in this years Bitner Invitational, hosted by Spring Lake at Spring Lake Country Club. Gerrit DeGraaf lead the Spartans with an eight over, 80, and received a 5th place medal out of a field of 61 players. Degraaf's season thus far has been impressive, as he currently leads the entire OK Silver conference with the lowest scoring average(39.0). The Spartans also received contributions from Freshman standout, Carter Genther. Genther's score was 2nd to Degraaf on the Spartan's squad (99), even after he incurred a two-stroke penalty for a rules violation. Rounding out the Spartans score was Kyle Lock(99) and Noah Momber(103). The Spartans look forward to their next match at Candelstone(Belding) today, May 3rd.
