Sparta High School is excited to announce Ryan Patterson as the new Varsity Football Coach. Patterson, a 2006 Sparta graduate, is thrilled to return to his alma mater, stating, “I have always carried the values and spirit of Sparta High School with me throughout my life.” With coaching experience at Grant, Hudsonville, Allendale, and most recently Calvin University, Patterson brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the program. “Coaching football is not just a profession for me; it’s a calling,” Patterson shared. “The opportunity to return to Sparta and contribute to the community that shaped me is a dream come true. I’m eager to lead the Spartans with the same dedication, teamwork, and pride that has always defined this program.” Ryan Patterson will meet with student-athletes after school on Tuesday in the cafeteria and will be in attendance at the basketball games on Tuesday night. We encourage the community to join us in welcoming him and celebrating the start of this exciting new chapter for Sparta football. Patterson resides in Jenison, MI with his wife, Amanda, and three children–Jameson, Guinevere and Sebastian.
