Sparta senior Elle Fonnesbeck has officially taken the next step in her athletic and academic journey, signing her National Letter of Intent to continue her rugby career at Aquinas College next year. Fonnesbeck has built an impressive high school resume as a multi-sport athlete, competing in volleyball, basketball, and track while also dedicating herself to club rugby. Her commitment to balancing multiple sports has helped shape her into a well-rounded and competitive athlete, ultimately leading to this collegiate opportunity. While rugby may not have been one of her school sports, Fonnesbeck’s work on the club side showcased her passion and skill in the game. Her physicality, toughness, and athletic versatility translated naturally, allowing her to stand out and earn the chance to compete at the next level. Beyond athletics, Fonnesbeck has excelled in the classroom. She carries an outstanding 4.11 GPA and has been actively involved in both the National Honor Society and Student Council.
