Sparta Bowling was proudly represented at the Individual State Finals this past weekend as four Spartans competed against the best in Michigan at Century Bowl in Waterford. Qualifying for the state finals is an outstanding accomplishment, and having four athletes reach this stage speaks to the strength of our program. On the boys side, Gabe Fowle led the way with an impressive six-game qualifying series of 1226, finishing 12th overall and earning a spot in the championship bracket. Carson Bosch also competed in the boys division and placed 34th with a strong 1099 series. In the girls division, Ryleigh Welch delivered a tremendous performance, finishing 8th overall with a 1119 six-game series to advance into bracket play. Shallan also represented Sparta at the state finals, placing 43rd with a 942 series. Both Gabe and Ryleigh advanced past the qualifying round and into the head-to-head bracket portion of the tournament. Competing against elite talent from across the state, both were ultimately knocked out in the opening round of bracket play. Advancing to bracket competition at the state finals level is a significant achievement and a testament to their consistency, preparation, and composure under pressure. All four Spartans represented our school with pride, focus, and sportsmanship on one of the biggest stages of the season. We are incredibly proud of Gabe, Carson, Ryleigh, and Shallan for their dedication and the way they competed at the Individual State Finals. Congratulations on an outstanding season!
