Sparta Athletics is proud to celebrate the achievements of Owen Metzger, Carson Wood, and Mia May, who all qualified for the Cross Country State Finals following outstanding performances at regionals. Mia May had a stellar season, finishing regional runner-up with a time of 18:17. At the State Finals, she completed the race in 20:02, adding another impressive performance to her season. Mia also broke her own school record this year, cementing her place among Sparta’s elite runners. Owen Metzger had an exceptional state meet, finishing 24th with a time of 15:58, earning All-State honors for his performance. Carson Wood also ran a strong race, finishing 54th with a time of 16:21, representing Sparta proudly on the state stage.
